WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR PET DURING A CLEANING

Updated: Dec 1, 2023

One question we often receive from clients is, "What's the best way to manage our pets while our home is being cleaned?" At We Maid It, we absolutely adore our furry friends! By planning and communicating in advance, we can create a routine that ensures your pets feel comfortable and content while your housekeeper works their magic.

To make sure your pets are at ease during our visit, let us know your pet's name, and feel free to leave out their favorite treats. Depending on your pet's daily routine, you can also provide instructions on how our housekeeper should interact with them.

IS YOUR PET NORMALLY CRATED DURING THE DAY?

If your pet typically spends their day in a crate or kennel, just inform your cleaner, and we'll make sure they stay there during the cleaning. You can even move the crate to a less-used room and keep the door closed for your pet's comfort. An office or spare bedroom, which doesn't require regular cleaning, is an excellent choice.

DOES YOUR PET LOVE TO PLAY OUTSIDE?

If you have a fenced yard and would like your furry friend to enjoy some outdoor playtime while we clean, please let us know. Keep in mind that this option is weather-dependent, as we wouldn't want to expose your pet to extreme temperatures or rainy conditions. Additionally, if your pet has a tendency to run or escape, we kindly request they stay indoors for their safety.

IS YOUR PET EASYGOING?

For easygoing dogs or cats who prefer to lounge around the house, no problem! Your cleaner will follow their usual routine, and your pet can continue their leisurely activities and naps. However, if your pet has a history of aggression or stress around strangers, we recommend crating them for everyone's safety.

No matter your preference, please communicate with your housekeeper in advance, so we can ensure a smooth and pet-friendly cleaning experience. If you're a first-time customer, you can use this link to book our services online. We eagerly anticipate meeting your beloved furry companions!
